This is getting to be my favorite time of the year, right next to HHN and Christmas. But Mardi Gras is kicking off this coming Saturday, and on top of that, Harry Potter is dangerously close to being done. If you havent seen it yet, we also have a very exciting Super Bowl Ad that features the new land at Universal, and to top it all off, we have some awesome reader photos.
First up we have the Super Bowl Ad. The new marketing campaign seems to be “Be Courageous, Be Outrageous, Be Extraordinary”. It shows pretty much how the area will look, and one interesting note is that it seems to have Orange Track on Dueling Dragons….could this be for real?
If it is, it goes against the rumor we’ve heard that Dragons will not be getting a paint job. Onto other news, we have a great look at the latest in the Potter Verse. It’s getting down to the wire and we are still seeing orange steel and aluminum siding, though for the most part the visual part of things seem to be done on the outside of the buildings.

Dudley Do Right is still down for annual Maintenance, though its now getting fresh paint and some work done to the “Mount Dudmore” outside the ride. Gotta love small rehabs.

Finally onto the Studios where decorating for Mardi Gras is in high gear. The main stage is complete for KC and the Sunshine Band to perform Saturday, and the smaller stage is getting ready. Those are usually my favorite acts because they dont draw huge crowds and you can get right up close to the stage.
