Cheetah Hunt makes it’s grand debut on Friday

We’re all pumped and excited about Busch Gardens Tampa’s newest attraction, Cheetah Hunt, which opens to the public on Friday, May 27th. The area will not only feature Florida’s first triple launch roller coaster, but it will also feature an area called Cheetah Run, where guests will be able to watch these cats run. After all, they were built for speed.

“Cheetah Hunt will be an iconic coaster for Busch Gardens. It’s the longest coaster yet, and families are sure to enjoy its repeatability,” said Jim Dean, Busch Gardens President. “With amazing views to both watch it and ride it, three launch points and a one-of-a-kind animal habitat, Cheetah Hunt and Cheetah Run solidify Busch Gardens’ portfolio of family experiences.”

Cheetah Hunt, inspired by the speed of Cheetahs, will launch guests three different times at speeds up to 60 miles per hour. With more than 90 seconds of ride time, riders will be twisted, turned, and sent through a heart line roll. Cheetah Hunt’s track is 4,429 feet long with a height restriction of 48″.

Stay tuned for coverage of Cheetah Hunt tomorrow as we will be riding for the very first time, interviewing Mark Rose, Jim Dean, and Mike Boos. Be sure to follow us on Twitter @BehindThrills for live coverage of Cheetah Hunt!
