Mach Tower has officially opened at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. While I haven’t been able to ride it yet, and probably won’t be able to until we visit again next year, but I have heard so many positive things about the ride from several different people.
The ride looks like it can hold quite a few folks to help keep the line short. Busch Gardens Williamsburg has always been pretty good in regards to capacity anyway. Something I find very interesting about the ride, however, is their loading system. Guests are given cards and sorted into colored boxes. Two go to the left, and two to the right, and eventually you make it to your seat.
If you haven’t been on Mach Tower yet, make sure to head out and ride it! Summer is almost over!
Aside from Mach Tower, Busch Gardens continues to work on their new coaster for 2012. As I’ve said earlier, we won’t see much construction until Christmas Town begins. During that time period, the park will have been closed for about a month, giving the park ample time to try and get ahead with construction. There’s still not much going on in the giant pit, but they are still doing a lot of gutting inside of Wolf’s old queue.
