The new attraction coming to the “Roller Coast” is huge. It’s a huge investment, and it’s unlike anything in the park. It’s not a new coaster.

Cedar Point has announced that they will be adding the attraction Dinosaurs Alive for the 2012 season. The new exhibit will cost an estimated $1 million dollars and will feature 50 animatronic dinosaurs.

“We are extremely excited about introducing Dinosaurs Alive! to our guests next summer,” John Hildebrandt, vice president and general manager of Cedar Point, said in a statement Friday morning. “Our guests will have the opportunity to visit the Jurassic Age up close and see some amazing creatures that called it home. Dinosaurs Alive! will be educational and fun, too.”

Sister park Kings Island added the attraction this year to rave reviews. The attraction will not be included in park admission, but will cost an additional $5 dollars to experience.
It’s a proven attraction and a diverse attraction, but what are fans saying? We took a look on the official Cedar Point Facebook page to find out.

Marcus Passafiume Cedar Fair gives Wonderland Leviathan and CP gets robot dinos? Huh? about an hour ago
·Scott DeFranco LAME!!! You guys haven’t had a new roller coaster since ’07, build two mediocre rides in a row that didn’t even open on time and now this. Management is starting to ruin this park. about an hour ago
·Gidget Hensley Funk-its so expensive for a family to go to Cedar Point already, now charge an extra $5 to see this? Shameful… I say let’s keep the paddle boat ride! Its one ride the entire family can ride and relax. What’s next your going to get rid of the train? about an hour ago
·Bob Janes BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! about an hour ago
·Steve Pallante- dissapointed about no new coaster….but mostly dissapointed that CP is losing its uniqueness when CF builds the same rides/ attractions at all the parks it owns ie windseeker/ dino alive. If people are DYING to see dinos they can go to KI. Will be 6 (or more) years since a new coaster…and your main customer base are thrill riders…CF needs new managment.

What do you think about the new addition?
