Coming in 2012 to Carowinds: Windseeker

All the parks are announcing their 2012 plans. Holiday World, Canada’s Wonderland, Cedar Point, and more have already made their annoucements. Today it’s Carowind’s turn to announce their new attraction coming in 2012.

Last year many Cedar Fair theme parks including Knotts, Kings Island, Canada’s Wonderland, and Cedar Point all got Windseeker attractions. Last year, Kings Island also added a Dinosaur Alive attraction, which will be opening in 2012 at Cedar Point. The trend continues with the Cedar Fair chains as Carowinds announces Windseeker for 2012.

Windseeker was a prototype swing attraction that takes guests 301 feet in the air. It’s also spectacular to see at night as the tower and swings are fitted with LCD lights that make it visible throughoit the park. The latest version just opened at Knott’s Berry Farms a few days ago after construction delays pushed the opening back. However, it has proven to be popular with park guests.

Carowinds announced that the 301 foot swing will be the tallest in park history.
