Haunt season is just around the corner. With less than 30 days until Howl-o-Scream officially kicks off, things are really starting to go up around the park. Of course, construction has been going on for some time now, but you know you can almost smell haunt season when you see advertising in the park going up.
The typical banner with this year’s theme has made it up right above the turnstiles, as well as pole advertisements around the front of the park. They’re even advertising along the sides of the buildings this year. Unfortunately, The Shop of Horrors isn’t open yet, but when it does open, guests will be able to purchase Howl-o-Scream tickets inside. Billboards continue to go up for the event as well. On top of the seasonal location near the park, we’ve also spotted one in Orlando just outside of Universal.
And on the other side of the park, Busch Gardens is still working hard to get the Animal Hospital completed in time for the end of the year. Remember how badly Cheetah Hunt’s construction made getting around the park for Howl-o-Scream last year? Hopefully its not going to be nearly as bad this year since it’s off the beaten path. Since our last update, the hospital has grown a lot! The construction is officially taller than the construction walls.
There’s just a ton of construction going on around the park, including ride refurbs. Phoenix (the swinging ship near Sand Serpent) is down for a refurb. According to the official Busch Gardens website, Phoenix is scheduled to be down through September 2nd.
A few weeks ago, Busch Gardens announced Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy would be closing on September 5th. The park has now posted advertisements in park so guests know it’s ending soon and to get their last viewing in soon.
Last up – Cheetah Hunt! Busch Gardens has had immense waits over the summer. Now that school is out, I can officially say Cheetah Hunt has short waits! Our photographer visited the park early this afternoon and said the ride only had about a 10 minute wait. Check out this great shot he captured of Cheetah Hunt.
Check out these random photos from the park.
