Legoland California brought everyone together yesterday morning and announced they would be expanding.
“LEGOLAND California Resort is ready to grow again,” announced General Manager of LEGOLAND California Resort Peter Ronchetti. “In the summer of 2013, right where you are sitting, we are opening LEGOLAND Hotel” he announced to invited guests and media at today’s press conference.
Legoland California made the announcement on the very location in which the hotel would be built, located to the right of the entrance of the park. The particular area is currently being used for bus parking. However, construction for the three story hotel is slated to begin in October.
The three story, 250 room Lego hotel is being designed to give families the interactive experience that has been a huge success in Legoland California, Sea Life (Carlsbad Aquarium), and the Legoland Waterpark. The hotel will feature brightly colored Lego decor in each room, a pool area, and a restaurant. The Legoland Hotel will be the first of it’s kind in North America.
The Legoland Hotel is slated to open in Summer 2013.
