Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy opened on December 3, 2010, replacing the six year running Katonga show. When the show was announced, we were told it would not be permanent and wouldn’t be sticking around very long.
Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy, based off the popular broadway show that opened in 2008, will be closing it’s curtains at Busch Gardens September 5th, Labor Day. Busch Gardens has yet to announce anything in it’s place.
Before Cirque was announced last year, we heard rumors of an Ice Show returning to the park. Is it possible that we could be seeing it for 2012? With the successful opening of Cheetah Hunt, maybe we will see a Cheetah-themed show. Actually, I think that would be a lot of fun and very fitting seeing as Cheetah Hunt is almost next door to the Moroccan theater and it just opened this year.
*UPDATE! Busch Gardens has just announced that a Christmas Show will be added to the Moroccan Theater for the 2011 Holiday Season. Also, the park has officially announced that a new show will be announced three days after Cirque Dreams closes the curtain, on September 8th.
If you won’t have the chance to make it out, here’s a slew of photos from the show.
