Halloween in theme parks usually aren’t very friendly to the smaller set. Little ones have no interest in chainsaws, zombies, and Edgar Allen Poe. Disney has begun their “Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party”. Not so Scary is a way for kids to enjoy the Disney magic with a Halloween Flair, and to get back to one thing that kids absolutely love about Halloween..Candy!
One of the best features of the event, besides all the great candy, is the chance to see characters roaming the park that you may not normally get the chance to see. You’ll get to see The Headless Horsemen, Malificent, Dr. Facilier and more. It’s basically the villains time to shine!
In fact, sometimes you’ll get really long lines to meet the villains.

Overall the atmosphere is just right for little ones as it’s creepy, and not very scary. Some of the experiences, such as seeing the Headless Horseman ride through the streets may be a little much, but chances are they’ll shake it off at the sight of candy.

Another must see is the special Hallo-Wishes. It’s a Halloween version of the Wishes fireworks display that plays nightly at the Magic Kingdom.

One of the best features of course is the “Boo to You” Parade. It’s a mix of your classic Disney characters and floats and the bad guys. Again, this is the villain’s time to shine.

If you missed seeing any of your favorite bad guys, this is the place to catch a glimpse. Of course the Headless Horseman makes his appearance, but you also will see the hitchhiking ghosts from the haunted mansion, and even pirates.
