On Monday, September 5th Cirque Dreams:Jungle Fantasy ended it’s brief but popular run at Busch Gardens Tampa. The shorter version of the Broadway show has had daily performances since December of 2010, and will be replaced by something new for 2012. The announcement for what sounds like an ambitious show will be held Thursday September 8th in the Moroccan Palace Theater.

The show, which was light on the story telling aspect in comparison to the former show “Katonga”, took the forms of several animals and had the performers showing their skills in a variety of “cirque style” routines.
While not conventional performances, the show proved to be fairly popular with guests.

Elsewhere in the park crews work hurriedly to get props and items into place for the premiere of Howl O Scream. This item was headed towards Gwazi field, and looks a little familiar. Perhaps it was used in DED?

Over at the Stanleyville theater, it’s currently closed due to the construction of the perennial nurse fest known as Fiends.
More Howl O Scream
One thing that a lot of people are too busy to do, whether watching the coasters go by or paying attention to the new props, is take time to look around at the animals.

We happened to catch this flock of Flamingos out for a walk early in the morning.

You ever wonder why the big gators in the front of the park don’t act aggressive towards people or towards birds in their area? The answer is simple. They eat very well.
And though there might be a lot to do, there’s always time to take a nap.
More random pictures throughout the park. Enjoy!
