We’re only three weeks away from the start of haunt season in Florida and things are really starting to come together at Busch Gardens Tampa for Howl-o-Scream. Last week we spotted several billboards through out Tampa and Orlando for the event, as well as signage in the park promoting Howl-o-Scream. It’s so close I can almost hear the screams.
Signage for scare zones and houses are starting to go up. A few include Night Shade Toy Factory and Deconstruction.
Shop of Horrors has also been put together. I particularly like the flowers with the eyes in them.
They have a ton of merchandise for sale already and we’re three weeks out from the start of the event. On top of that, they still have merchandise on sale from 2010. If you missed your chance to get your My X merchandise, you still have a chance for now until it’s gone.
On the flip side, Cheetah Hunt was down earlier today with a crane up against the ride.
*Update-Hearing from several of our readers including people that were in the park earlier in the week that the ride has been down since Wednesday. We’ve heard from guests at the park that heavy work is being done on the coaster due to an unspecified issue. Of course rumors have surfaced, and while we won’t elaborate on them, the things we’ve heard aren’t good.
I’m not quite sure what happened to the ride or why it was down, but it’s never a good sign when you seen a crane. It seems they’re doing some work to the track in the Figure 8, but it could be something very simple. Let’s hope they complete whatever needs to be completed and Cheetah Hunt is back up and running in no time.
Last up, progress on the animal care facility continues at the park. It’s coming along quite quickly and it continues to grow.
