Busch Gardens Tampa announces 2012 events plus more

                             

Busch Gardens Tampa has a lot of fun events happening between now and August of 2012. Busch Gardens has also announced they are giving the rest of 2011 to those who purchase a fun card now for no additional cost. For one low price, you can see all the Christmas festivities, plus enjoy all the events coming up in 2012. The fun card is $79.99 for adults and $71.99 for children ages 3-9.

2012 looks like a very promising year for Busch Gardens. On top of the normal events, Busch Gardens will also debut a brand new ice-show plus open an animal care facility that will allow guests to observe many aspects of veterinary care for the animals, including surgeries and check-ups.

Iceploration

Iceploration is a brand new ice-show coming to the park in February 2012. Iceploration is replacing the “Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy” show, which stayed at the park for just under a year. Iceploration will inspire it’s audiences to explore the world in this 30 minute show that will journey to the four corners of the globe.

Animal Care Facility

Busch Gardens is also currently in the process of construction a new animal care facility. The current facility is located backstage at the park and many aspects of veterniary care for the animals is not seen by the public. However, coming in 2012, the park will be opening this new care facility. Guests will be able to watch as animals are given check-ups, and even as they have surgery.

The facility will also offer interactive elements, as well as audio and video capabilities that will allow guests to talk with vets as they are working.

Jack Hanna (January 13, 2012)

“Jungle” Jack Hanna will be at Busch Gardens Tampa on January 13. During his visit, guests will be able to attend autograph signings and par-take in a special meet and greet with him. Hanna will also take part in the Serengeti Night Safari as well as make special appearances during the family sleepover that evening.

Real Music Concert Series

Each Wednesday through Saturday from January 18 through March 24, Busch Gardens Tampa will present the “Real Music Concert Series” in the Stanleyville Theater.

  • January 25-28: the Glenn Miller Orchestra with The Diamonds

Bands, Brew & BBQ (Saturdays/Sundays, February 11 – March 4)

Bands, Brew & BBQ is returning this year for smokin’ hot fun. The event will take place on Saturdays and Sundays this year. Aside from the music on Sundays, there will also be plenty of food from favorite local restaurants as well as beer.

Viva La Musica (Sundays, April 15 – May 6)

Viva La Musica will brick regional Latin cusinie plus authentic arts and crafts. Stay tuned for more information when artists and details are released this spring.

Summer Nights (June 9 – August 12)

Summer Nights is back with lots of summer fun, more fireworks than even before, and Cheetah Hunt in the dark! Kinetix will return bringing live musicians, singers, dancers, and artists from around the world to one stage. Each and every night, Kinetix will pump up the crowd with modern music and fire effects. Summer Nights will also feature a special 4th of July celebration. Stay tuned for more details as summer draws near.
