Those in wandlore aren’t exactly sure about many behaviors of wands, but one thing is clear. The wand chooses the wizard. No one quite knows why, but they do know that you’ll never get such strong results with someone else’s wand. It should be no surprise that celebrities posses a certain level of magic, and as such, they too need wands. Where does a famous wizard go for a wand? None other than Ollivander’s in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando.
Oscar nominated actor Richard Gere was recently at Universal Orlando with his family, when he felt a twinge. Such twinges can be magical in nature, and as fate would have it, he stumbled into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Ollivander’s wand shop. Guests who happen into Ollivander’s can choose their wand, but only the magical few have the wand choose them. Coming this summer Universal Studios Florida will be the home of Diagon Alley and an even larger Ollivander’s shop, with more wands to choose from and even more chances for magical encounters.
Not everyone is chosen, but there are some tips to increase your chances.
-Study your wandlore, and wand techniques. What’s the use of a wand if you don’t know how it works
-Clear your thoughts of everything. The best slate for learning is a clean slate
-Never keep your wand in your back pocket…very important
