Universal Orlando launches a brand new mobile app and rolls out free Xfinity Wifi

There’s an app for that! Universal Orlando rolled out an application a few years ago that was good and helpful, but Universal Orlando has replaced that application with a brand new application that rolled out just yesterday that is extremely user friendly and provides a lot more helpful information. Before your next visit to the park, this is an application that you won’t want to forget to download. With this application, you won’t even need to pick up a park map on your way into the parks anymore as the application will provide you with even more details about your day than the map can.

Here’s some of the things the app can do:

  • Provide showtimes
  • Provide wait times for attractions (only while you’re in the park)
  • Provide park hours
  • Provide restaurant information, including  price range, hours, and if the Universal Dining Plan is accepted
  • Provide height requirements for attractions as well as other information
  • Guests can create a favorites list
  • The “Guide Me” feature
  • Provide helpful parking information
  • Stay up-to-date with in-park notifications
  • Discover hidden surprises through out the parks

The app is available for download for free!

And with the roll out of a brand new app, Universal Orlando has announced they have also rolled out Xfinity WiFi to support this brand new mobile application. Comcast has partnered with Universal Orlando to bring free WiFi hotspots to Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida, and Universal’s CityWalk.

During your next visit to Universal Orlando, whether you’re an Xfinity subscriber or not, you will be able to connect to these hotspots around the parks absolutely free of charge. To connect the Xfinity WiFi, just look for the “xfinitywifi” SSID and follow the prompts to connect.

Comcast currently has 3 million Xfinity Wifi hotspots nationwide and has plans to reach 8 million hotspots across the nation before the end of the year.
