Orlando to rock in the New Year with huge New Year’s Eve celebrations

                             

After the presents from Santa have been opened and the holiday dinner and Christmas cookies have been eaten, the next holiday question is of course, “What are you doing for New Years Eve?”.  After all, what you do on NYE helps set the mood for the rest of the year. Its a hard decision to make. Theme parks, fortunately, have some of the biggest celebrations happening, and are one amazing way to ring in the new year. We’ve compiled a list of the major theme park happenings for New Year’s Eve to help you ring in 2015 the right way!

Walt Disney World-Florida

With four parks, there are tons of things going on. Of course, the main event of every Disney celebration is Fireworks, but this year Disney is doing it huge with fireworks for just about every single park!

  • Magic Kingdom: The fun will span two nights as Magic Kingdom brings it’s huge “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks celebration. This will happen on both nights, IN ADDITION to Holiday Wishes. The cool thing with these huge new fireworks is that they will be visible from just about everywhere in the park!
  • Epcot: For one night only, unique sights, sounds and tastes will be set to the classic film-Fantasia. The unique dining experience will feature music from the film, and will an upcharge event. In addition, Epcot will wrap up their holidays around the world with celebrations from each country. The park will also have two showings of Illuminations, with a message of peace and prosperity around the world.
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: The park will have specialty cocktails, and the musical stylings of Mulch, Sweat and Shears…the plant themed cover band. As the year gets ready to say goodbye, the sky above the park will light up with fireworks.

SeaWorld Orlando

The park will celebrate the connection to the sea with a huge celebration of light, and music. The park will roll out a huge fireworks celebration, as well as many of their Award Winning Christmas Celebration shows. DJ’s will be all over the park, making huge dance and party zones all over the park, and it’s all included in your daily theme park admission.

Legoland Florida
Kid’s New Year’s Eve at Legoland will feature giant LEGO brick drops at midnight- KST (Kid Standard Time) – otherwise known as 7 p.m. EST. The event is geared directly at the little ones who want to party, but shouldn’t stay up too terribly late. Other event elements include fireworks and a dance party DJ.

Universal Orlando

The parks themselves will be open late, but there are no huge plans in park. The fun will all be at CityWalk, as Universal Orlando claims to have the “Best Party This Year..and Next”. The exclusive party will have give guests 6 unique party zones and Citywalk clubs, unlimited cuisine, a fireworks display, a huge outdoor dance floor, and a midnight champagne toast. World renowned but Orlando raised M-Squared will be spinning the tunes into next year.

Update-Universal Studios Florida will be showing a special midnight edition of Cinematic Spectacular. Maybe with a Minion ball drop? This showing is not included with EVE. Special tickets are not needed for Cinematic Spectacular. However, if you do want to enjoy the party in CityWalk you will need tickets.

Knott’s Berry Farm

The park will be a family friendly funfest, as the park stays open until 1 a.m. The Sky Cabin will make it’s journey to the top of the K Tower, where it will mark the beginning of the new year with a bang! The sky will light up with fireworks as the park celebrate 2015. All night, the park will feature live shows, Dance parties with Snoopy and even a family friendly comedian to keep the party happening.

Legoland California

Just like Legoland Florida, the California park will be celebrating with a New Year’s Eve event just for kids! Brick drops, fireworks and tons of Lego fun!

Universal Studios Hollywood

The California theme park is doing things a little differently this year. CityWalk will be open, but instead of celebrating in a huge style, they are going to celebrate with five Universal films. In addition, a select group of night clubs and restaurants will be open for the festivities.

Six Flags will bring in the new year with a huge fireworks display, and tons of holiday lights!

SeaWorld San Antonio

The nightlife is booming in San Antonio, but this year, SeaWorld will keep the celebrating in the twilight of the evening, as fireworks are set to go off at 9p.m. There are several huge package deals, and picnics to make the most of your evening.
