One of the best parts about staying on location at Universal is being able to participate in all of the on site events at the hotels. Portifino Bay has Bella Notte; a celebration of Italian Opera, Royal Pacific has many amazing beer pairing dinners at their restaurants, and all of the hotels have “dive in movies” at their amazing pools. One of the coolest things at the Hard Rock Hotel is their “Velvet Sessions” concert series.
On the last Thursday of every month, the lobby of the Loews Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando is transformed into an intimate, high-energy entertainment venue for “Velvet Sessions.” The event features a different band each month and includes complimentary cocktails , hors d’oeuvres and warm-up music starting at 6:30 pm.Complimentary valet parking is also available.
This month, British post punk band The Psychedelic Furs takes over the lobby at the Hard Rock. Known for the hit song “Pretty In Pink”, “Heaven”, and “The Ghost In You”, The Psychedelic Furs plan to bring down the house. For more information and band bio check out their website.
