Disneyland attractions closing temporarily to make room for Star Wars Land

According to the OC Register, Disneyland has officially announced that they will be closing several popular attractions to make room for the huge Star Wars Land expansion. The attractions included one permanent closure, as well as several temporary closures, which will last over a year. The good news is that the closures won’t happen until next year, the bad news is that it’s within the first two weeks of 2016. Several of these have been rumored for quite some time.

Star Wars Land will be a 14 acre addition to the park which will Circle D Ranch, Big Thunder Ranch, and some of the backstage areas. Employees will be relocated during construction, and the animals will be moved to a property off-site.
There are no solid details about Star Wars Land, except that it will take place in a remote outpost in the Star Wars Universe. There will be more Star Wars fun coming to Disneyland very soon, as Season of the Force will kick off on November 16th.
It’s a very exciting time for Star Wars, and Disney fans, as the Force is being awakened by several major projects in the coming years, including a slew of new movies.
