House of Blues at Downtown Disney Anaheim Gets Demolished

It’s not every day you see a major structure on Disney property in Anaheim get this kind of demolishing. As Downtown Disney prepares itself for the future expansion the property begins with the largest project the shopping district has seen since opening – removing the old House of Blues (relocated to a larger location at the Anaheim GardenWalk), for the super ritzy bowling alley Splitsville which has a popular sister location at Disney Springs in Florida.

A closer look.

Based on the demo, it’s expected that the entire HOB structure will come down, and Splitsville will be housed in a brand new, custom structure. It’ll look quite fabulous!

In anticipation for the bowling alley, new posters have also gone up teasing the 50’s shag art style seen prevalent at Splitsville locations.

When Splitsville opens in late 2017, the 40,000 square foot building will house 20 bowling lanes, a large outdoor dining patio, an entertainment venue as well as a full service bar and restaurant.
