It’s official HHN Hollywood fans, American Horror Story is returning to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood. Just a few weeks ago it was announced that American Horror Story would return to Horror Nights in Orlando, it felt enavatible that the Hollywood park would be getting it again as well. Well, at Monsterpalooza it was made official from the creative director himself that the property would be retuning to HHN Hollywood for 2017!
Unfortunately that’s all that we know at this point, no photos or videos were revealed, as well as no news on what season this would be based on. Early rumors suggested that the Hollywood version would focus primarily on the most recent season Roanoke and follow a trend that started with the Walking Dead where each year’s maze would reflect the previously aired season.

Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights also announced a return to American Horror Story earlier this year, though they will be visiting seasons 2-Asylum, Season 3-Coven, and Season 6-Roanoke. While it IS possible that the two parks will share the same seasons, it’s not guaranteed. We’ve seen this before when both Orlando and Hollywood used Alien vs. Predator. Orlando used a jungle theme, with a story of a Weyland Corp investigating the creatures on board, while the Hollywood version saw the two species battle it out in a neighborhood. While they used the same property, they each had their own identities. Universal Hollywood and Orlando share a lot of properties and ideas, but they each carry their own identities, and do things in different ways. It’s possible we could see that with American Horror Story this year. Just remember that we have yet to hear all the details from John Murdy and company just yet.
