Interactive Animatronics Added to Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout at California Adventure

Disney continues to add on to the previously controversial, but, now beloved attraction at Disney California Adventure. As the attraction grows in popularity, so does the amount of installations of more long term elements to enhance the overall experience. Most recently the imagineers unveiled some of the collectors newest acquisitions in the form of three adorable Porg-like birds called Vyloos who interact with guests waiting in line.

These cuties respond to noises, movements, and make eye contact to guests waiting in line. This is a new type of audio animatronic technology Disney imagineers refer to as “Tiny Life”. The days of endlessly looping animatronic performances are soon coming to an end and being replaced by interactive creatures and opportunities.   Eagle-eyed viewers of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 can also spot this Vyloos briefly in the film.
