New Halloween experiences coming to Pirates and Space Mountain during Not so Scary at Walt Disney World

The summer sun is bearing down, but if you’re like me, you never stop thinking about Halloween. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween will return on select nights beginning August 17th (yes, that’s early) but more importantly there will be several new additions to the event this year, all of which will be available only at Not So Scary.

First up is the all new Pirates of the Caribbean experience, which will see new Pirates characters interacting with “sailing guests” as they search for Gunpowder Pete. It sounds like live actors will now be in the ride, but we’re not 100% sure on that. Regardless, it’s a Halloween upgrade to one of the most popular attractions.

Next up is The Mad Tea Party, which will add different lights and effects to brighten up the party. It might even change your costume, and will definitely add to the fun.

Storybook Circus welcomes the Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam, a dance party featuring some of your favorite Disney Junior Characters, including Doc McStuffins!

Finally, and this is our favorite, Space Mountain will get a spooky new soundtrack and special effects during the Halloween party. Are we talking Ghost Galaxy, which is what Disneyland does for HalloweenTime at their park.

Of course there will be trick or treating, The Boo to You Parade, Spooky characters in Haunted Mansion and dancing ghosts, plus much more.

Tickets are now on sale for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
