Universal Orlando cooks up new dishes for more fun at this year’s Mardi Gras

We’ve already given you the run down on the biggest concert series of the year at Universal Orlando, and of course the line up of new floats.

However, that’s not where the fun ends. Universal Orlando has released a first look at the new food options that will be coming to Mardi Gras this year, as well as the drink options. We’ve lined up everything in the gallery below!

Let’s run down some of the dishes:

  • Crab Etouffee
  • Red Beans and Rice-with or without shrimp
  • Jambalaya-With or without shrimp
  • Gumbo-With or without shrimp
  • King Cake
  • Catfish Po Boy

And it wouldn’t be Universal without a signature drink.

This year there’s:

  • Carnival Cocktail
  • Ragin’ Rumbalaya
  • Vicious Voodoo (a combo of the two above!)

Of course there’s craft beers, and a brand new Mimosa Bar which will feature flavors like caramel apple, raspberry rosemary, mojito mint and more.

We love Mardi Gras at Universal, but when it comes to the food the park always kind of misses huge opportunities. We would love to see more food stands set up in other sections of the park, and give it a more festival atmosphere all over, not just in the front.
