I think sometimes, no I really do. But not about important world crisis stuff very often, I dream about what could be. And lately its been Harry Potter thats been on my geek based brain. Now I'm not as cultured in Potter, or as knowledgeable as some surely are. My girlfriend lets me know all the time, but I do consider myself a creative thinker and can't help but to think that I could be onto something here.

So the Wizarding world of Harry Potter will be a timeless representation of that Universe that expands on the excitement and mystic adventures that this world has to offer. If that is the case than you cannot have a bad guy who is mortal based and eventually meets his demise in an installment for your main villain and if you try to do it, it could come off as forced or stuck in a period of that world rather than timeless. So you need to dig deep and expand on what that Universe has to offer and one that will make sense to guests. Even though I detest logical thinking at times I cant help but feel this means he is no good for the part, after all, why would Voldemort waste time on hating us unless we are just caught up in the action again? they could very well be doing that, but this could be something very different.

If we are aware we are not wizards, or not full blown wizard blooded people in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter than there is certainly a nasty being that existed at one time an may very well lurk with magic somewhere in the school by the name of Salazar Slytherin. He is after all a huge part of the history of Hogwarts school, and detests muggles and mudbloods. So rather than just Harry Potter being taunted by Voldemort and us caught in the middle like many other formulas that work in the theme park world, letus go with another one that has worked. Anyone familiar with the original Posiedons Fury at Islands of Adventure knows exactly what I am talking about. Our baddie has a personal hatred towards us. It is general but yet something we have, an unfair prejudice that just sets the villain off an becomes his or her soul mission to destroy. In the original Poseidons Fury it was that the guests are mortal. In the case of Harry Potter, that hatred is because we are not full blooded wizards.

Enter the Chamber of Secrets.

Our potential baddy also has great ties with the history of the darker parts of Hogwarts Castle. He created the Chamber of Secrets and we very well may be in there at one point facing a Basilisk, according to many renderings and the big stone snake heads floating around the net. Well this just ties it altogether because Salazar Slytherin is also a Parseltounge, meaning he can communicate and really control serpant creatures such as the Basilisk. And while there will be other baddies from the entire Universe of Harry Potter, who puts them all into motion? Means trouble and thrilling fun for us.

Evidence time

If you skip ahead to 4:23 on this video we notice an interesting man. One that makes this reasoning, seem well, reasonable.

I am not just making this up, or maybe rather I am but there is a method to my madness. As discussed around the net there is footage of filming that took place for the attraction back when it was only known to most geeks as "Project Strongarm". Tingles are certainly going on when they definitely make it a point to show the clapboard which says "PROJECT STRONGARM" on the project line. In this video is a brief moment where a man is being tweeked in appearance. He has a sinister look, and many around the net speculate he could be different things, but one that has come up a few times is Slytherin. As stated above its logical to include him as something of an evil force in this ride. If nothing else for some form of multimedia footage to explain the dangers or darkness that lurks in Hogwarts sucha as the Chamber of Secrets.

So maybe he is a huge part of the attractions plot point, or maybe he is just a feature to further the detail of the History of Hogwarts. But one thing is for sure, it is a fun time for fans because even though the attraction is not open yet, we all get to play creative designers and share what we would want to see. And besides, you can't deny the guy does bear a striking resmeblence to someone we've seen on JK's desk:

I would like to thank fellow geeks such as the ones over at Orlando United, who also share their opinions and reasoning for why it could work.
