Hi Behind The Thrills: Always love the website and well continue to read for years to come. I'm wondering have you ever tried the dryers that are offered on the water rides? Or have you heard reviews about it just trying to see if one day I don't want to be soaked to see if it's worth the $5.00 thanks.

We have tried it once. It works, but only to an extent. Being in Florida during the hot summer months it tends to be humid, and that works against drying clothes. Also, people tend to pile in the dryer. This makes it work even less. So, for a single person in an area with low humidity, it would work great. It on chilly days, it works well then too.

I need the address for seeing gingerbread house that is in one of disneys hotel located in Orlando
Dec. 17, 2011 by Alice, Florida
Hi Alice,
Thanks so much for the question. There are four Gingerbread houses at Walt Disney World, each one located in a different hotel located on Walt Disney World property. They are located at The Grand Floridian Hotel, The Contemporary Resort, Disney's Yacht Club, and Disney's Beach Club.
I'll give you the Address to the Grand Floridian:
4401 Floridian Way Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830
(407) 824-3000
BUT, here's how you get there. Simply drive on property like you're going to the Magic Kingdom, look for the signs that say Grand Floridian and follow them. Once there, you'll come to the guard gate, just tell the guard you're there to see the Gingerbread.
You can then ride the monorail to the Contemporary Resort, and ride the monorail back to the Grand Floridian. Then once you do that, drive over to the Epcot resort area and follow the signs to the Yacht and Beach Club. They are right next door to each other, so once you see one you can walk right next door and see the other. You can then catch a boat and visit the Boardwalk hotel across the way and see their Christmas display, which is a boardwalk with a roller coaster all lit up. It's really quite nice. Plus it's a lot of fun to walk around to the different hotels and maybe even sample some of the restaurants. Remember you don't have to be a guest to see these amazing gingerbread houses, or eat in the restaurants. Each hotel also sells gingerbread cookies right next to the gingerbread houses so make sure you sample some!
Hope this helps!

In response to the Pre Schooler free pass; I just bought my 3 year old a fun card, within the last couple weeks. Is there any reimbursement possible since she should be free with this promotion? Thank you!
Jan. 10, 2012 by Kristine
According to the official SeaWorld Orlando ticketing information page, Fun Cards are not refundable. However, have you used the ticket yet? If you have not, you may be able to call the Customer Service department and ask to speak with a supervisor. Explain the situation, and chances are they may be able to work something out for you.
The phone number is 1-888-800-5447

Now that Jaws is closing at Universal Studios Orlando after 20 years, what do you think of the replacement to Jaws? (my suggestion is Transformers since im a fan of it)
Dec. 15, 2011
It's difficult to tell at this point what will replace Jaws at this point. Universal has announced nothing official yet so until they do, everything is considered a rumor. We've heard rumors of Transformers, an expansion to the Wizarding World and more. I'd like to think the Wizarding World will be expanding. Universal Hollywood announced the WWOHP for their park and that Orlando's version would "significantly expand".

You can read more detail on some of the rumors we've heard here: http://behindthethrills.com/2011/12/harry-potter-and-the-bow-legged-women-a-rumor-mill-special-report/

Why aren't both stations used on the superman roller coaster at six flags over georgia?
Jan. 8, 2012
I couldn't really find much information about this subject, but I think I should be able to provide enough insight on why they wouldn't use one side, based on an operations stand point and mindset.

I don't know the situation very well, but I can tell you I have been to SFOG before (but I didn't ride this attraction in particular), so I'm not sure if perhaps they don't use this side at all or they only use it when it's very busy. Like any business, theme parks have a budget, or a limit of how much money, they can spend on each attraction per day based on projected attendance. The more people you have working, the more people you have to bring in to give those people breaks, and the more money it costs. People will wait an hour or two for bigger coasters on busy days, so the park probably doesn't see it fit anymore to opening both sides of the platform until absolutely necessary. With that said, they can use that extra budget somewhere else through out the park where the help is needed.

I wish I could have provided you with a solid answer. I hope this helps answer your question though!
