Wolf Valley Tales Chronicles The Lives of Busch Gardens’ Wolves

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Sept. 8, 2009) – Megan Glosson, a wolf trainer at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Va., has started blogging about her amazing experiences in the park’s Wolf Valley. Now anyone who’s ever wondered what it’s like to work with a wolf pack can read all about it at Glosson’s blog called WolfValleyTales.wordpress.com.

Wolf Valley Tales focuses on Busch Gardens’ gray wolves and their dedicated trainers. It regularly features behind-the-scenes stories, pictures and videos of the wolves that fans can only get by accessing the blog. Wolf Valley Tales is most often written by Glosson, who’s been working with the parks’ wolves since 2005. Glosson’s blog entries range from explaining how wolves and trainers interact to describing the moment when the young wolf pups, Kitchi and Maska, first met their new pack mates.

“It’s so much fun to tell everyone about our wolves. Something amazing happens with them every day,” said Glosson.

It takes seven trainers to provide the around-the-clock care for the park’s eight wolves. Each day at Busch Gardens, the wolves and their trainers work together in presentations developed to educate guests about these magnificent, but often misunderstood, predators.
