Christmas Town:  a bUSCH gARDENS cELEBRATION

COMPLETES REGION’S HOLIDAY TRANSFORMATION

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Nov. 6, 2009) – The debut of Christmas Town:  A Busch Gardens Celebration gives families even more reasons to celebrate the holidays in Williamsburg this year.

The Williamsburg region already boasts an impressive lineup of Christmas-themed activities. Colonial Williamsburg’s Grand Illumination and world-class holiday shopping at Prime Outlets coincide with homegrown events like the Williamsburg Christmas Parade and Yorktown’s Lighted Boat Parade that help fill visitors’ hearts with holiday spirit.

Starting Nov. 27, Christmas Town will further the region’s transformation into a Christmas vacation destination with a holiday spectacular that only Busch Gardens can create.

“Christmas Town at Busch Gardens is an exciting addition to an already exciting time of year in Williamsburg,” said Dick Schreiber, president and CEO of the Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance. “We are thrilled Busch Gardens is celebrating Christmas, and think families — local and visiting — will be, too.”

Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg are teaming up this holiday season to offer the best of the season with a Williamsburg Christmas Bounce Ticket. The $69 bounce ticket is valid for seven consecutive days and provides admission to Christmas Town and Colonial Williamsburg.

“Nothing quite compares to Williamsburg during the holidays. Visitors can now visit Colonial Williamsburg during the day, and spend their evening enjoying Christmas Town at Busch Gardens,” said John Reilly, general manager and executive vice president of Busch Gardens.

Christmas Town opens at Busch Gardens on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 4 – 9 p.m. beginning Nov. 27. The park will open each evening Dec. 18-27, excluding Christmas Day. Some sections of the park will remain closed for the season, and some rides and attractions are weather dependent.

Christmas Town admission tickets are available for $19.95. Guests with active Busch Gardens’ annual passes save 50 percent on Christmas Town tickets as well as free parking and in-park discounts.
