Universal Orlando gets things sped up for the next to last weekend of Mardi Gras. Things wrap up next week with Chicago, but this week it’s double trouble with Sheryl Crow on Friday night, and Flo Rida on Saturday night.

WHAT: This weekend, Universal Orlando is hosting a chart-topping double header as music sensations Sheryl Crow and Flo Rida perform for Mardi Gras guests. On April 9th, award-winning singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow will bring her unique blend of rock, country and pop to the stage as she performs live in concert. During the course of her career, she has released six studio albums – all reaching top 10 spots on the U.S. Billboard 200 Chart. Crow has won numerous awards and accolades, including a total of nine Grammy Awards. Crow’s most popular hits include, “All I Wanna Do,” “Soak Up The Sun” and “The First Cut Is The Deepest.”
On Saturday, Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist Flo Rida will perform live at Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras. Flo Rida has quickly become one of today’s most popular musical artists. His debut single, “Low,” went quadruple platinum and quickly became a No. 1 hit for ten weeks in the U.S. Soon after, his singles “Elevator” and “In The Ayer” charted on the Hot 100. In 2009, he won the People’s Choice Award for “Favorite Hip Hop Song of the Year” for his single “Low,” and was nominated for two Grammy awards. His recent hit, “Right Round,” became his second single to top the charts at No. 1, becoming the fastest million-selling digital song ever.

Universal Orlando is celebrating 15 years of beads, bands and good times with its Mardi Gras 2010 celebration. Guests will experience the spirit of Bourbon St. in the heart of Universal Studios, with festivities including an elaborate parade, hundreds of costumed characters, tons of souvenir beads, Cajun cuisine and live performances by mega-talented artists.
