Fantasyland Update, Christmas, Duffy, and upcoming ride refurbishments

There’s still a lot going on at Disney World. Disney has unveiled a new toy, Fantasyland construction is still underway, and the Food and Wine Festival continues at Epcot. If you’re looking for theme park thrills, Disney has tons of stuff to do right now, even if it’s not “thrilling”.

Fantasyland construction is truckin’ right along. Doesn’t look like there’s been a whole lot going on, but we’ve got some refurbishments coming up very soon. Check out the most recent pictures of the Fantasyland project below.

Here’s whats coming up in the near future:

  • It’s a Small World – Reopens October 22
  • Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – Refurbishment from October 25-November 14
  • Mad Tea Party – Reopens on November

Halloween is less than two weeks away and lights are starting to go up on Cinderella’s castle for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The castle lighting itself is amazing. Check out videos of last year’s Christmas Party and photos of the lights that have gone up on the castle.

Can’t forget Duffy, Disney’s new character that does meet-and-greets and has a shop where you can dress him up. Duffy is some-what like Build-A-Bear, except he’s already stuff and you can dress him up. There’s also a meet and greet station at Epcot where you can get your photo taken with this snuggly teddy bear.

Last up is the Food and Wine Festival. This week we’ve got a few shots of the Food and Wine welcome center and some other random photos of Epcot.
