Grinchmas, Macy’s Parade, and the Holiday Village at Universal

“Holiday Cheer You’ll Only Find Here” is the tagline Universal Orlando is advertising for their Christmas Celebration at both parks, Universal Studios, and Islands of Adventure. Both parks have a lot to offer for guests during this time of year. On top of the normal rides, shows, and attractions, you can also find a bit of Holiday fun.

At Islands of Adventure within Seuss Landing, you’ll find the area has been decorated. The Who’s love Christmas, but it’s stolen by none other than the Grinch. You’ll find him too during the performance of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. Unlike past tradition, Grinchmas has been moved inside to a sound stage. This offers Universal Orlando the chance to seat more guests and control the climate. Yep, avoid those windy, blustery days we’ve been having.

If you head over to Universal Studios, you can see the Macy’s Parade wind through the streets of the Studios. Where did it get it’s name? The Thanksgiving Macy’s Parade, of course. The parade features many floats that once went through the streets of New York City.

Last up is Universal’s new addition for this year: The Holiday Village, also at Universal Orlando. The area located around Mummy (the courtyard) has been turned into a Village where you can see glass as it’s hand blown, play games, and more.
