Legoland California rings in the new year with largest kid-friendly So. Cal celebration

Legoland California announced details for their New Years Celebration event. The event will be even bigger than previous years with brand new bands added to their kid-friendly line up.

Aaron Nigel Smith and the FUNdamentals and Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band will be joining Justin Roberts, a recent Grammy nominee, and the Not Ready for Naptime Players for a three hour concert that will have parents and kids alike dancing as they ring in 2011.

Legoland California will also offer their famous Times Square kids party. A huge lego will drop 22 feet to kick off 2011 (pretty much what they do in Times Square every year with the ball) along with a fireworks display over Minland. Midnight will strike at 6pm so kids don’t have to miss their bedtime and parents don’t have to travel in the wee hours of the new year.

“I am thrilled that we are able to add these amazing new bands to the line up this year for Kids’ New Year’s Eve,” said Laura Lee Juliano, Events Manager for LEGOLAND California. “Our guests really loved Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players so we wanted to bring even more awesome children’s music to this celebration and expand the event into a mini kid’s concert to ring in the New Year – LEGOLAND Style!”
