Cedar Point and K’Nex Team Up For Great Thrill Ride Build-Off

How many hours have you spent in front of Roller Coaster Tycoon building that coaster? How many times have you gone to a park and stored away that coaster design in your head so that you can build it later at home? I doubt I’m the only one. Now Cedar Point is giving you a chance to put your design skills to the test.

The current Coaster Capital of the World has teamed up with K’Nex to see who can come up with the best ORIGINAL Thrill ride design. It must be a working design made up of only K’Nex pieces. Sorry, no pretzel substitutes.
The contest is honor of Math and Science Week at the park May 16th-20th. You can either submit an individual entry, or you can submit a class entry for your school. The best part is that the winning models will be put on display at the park for the world to see. Okay so that’s not the best part.
The best part is that you will win tickets to the park, and the new light up Ferris Wheel set from K’Nex.
For the classrooms that enter, you will win:
* 15 tickets to Cedar Point Amusement Park
* A $250 knex.com gift certificate
* K’NEX building sets for each student
* Winning model on display at Cedar Point Amusement Park during
Math & Science Week (May 16 – May 20, 2011)
Having helped the kids build these kits, they aren’t easy, but the payoff sure is fun. For more information including rules, and how to enter visit the official Cedar Point Facebook Page.
