UPDATED: Universal Orlando: Let the good times roll with Mardi Gras 2011

Throw me somethin mista! It’s almost Mardi Gras time again. If you can’t make it to the Big Easy then Universal Orlando has you covered. For almost three months the park will be celebrating with beads bands and food. The biggest draw of the event of course are the free concerts by some favorite names in music.

Normally we can get a good glimpse of the lineup via concert site Pollstar.com but this year things have been kept quiet. The only listings on that site have been for the smaller stage in the French Quarter. Traditionally that stage plays host to bands from New Orleans such as returning favorite Lil Malcolm and the Rockers.

The only inkling of the main acts comes this year from the bands website. Frankie Calling, KC & the Sunshine Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd all have dates listed on their websites that coincide with Mardi Gras performances.

However earlier today Universal listed on their official Facebook page the official lineup:

2/12 Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons
2/19 The B-52s
2/20 KC & The Sunshine Band
2/26 Pitbull
3/5 Lynyrd Skynyrd
3/12 Foreigner
3/18 Neon Trees
3/19 The Roots*
3/25 OneRepublic
3/26 Blake Shelton
4/1 Sean Kingston
4/2 Ne-Yo
4/9 Lifehouse
4/16 The Beach Boys
4/23 Thirty Seconds to Mars*

*Thirty Seconds to Mars was originally slated to play on March 19th, but instead have moved to the former TBA spot of April 23rd. The Roots are now scheduled to play!
