Theme Park Change-Theme Park Fans Giving Helping Hands

Mike Collins, Coaster Radio, and I go way back. It was way back in 2006 that Coasting For Kids went on Coaster Radio (headed up by yours truly) to try and get interest in raising money for Make a Wish Foundation of Orlando. With Mike’s help we raised over $3,000 dollars for Make A Wish. Now, several years later Mike Collins and Coaster Radio have something bigger, and better than anyone could have ever imagined. Theme Park Change.

While I’m not sure a lot of major parks would fully appreciate us telling their guests to not spend money at their parks, it’s a great idea none the less and let’s all of us in the theme park community band together and help a great cause. I think anyone HAS to get behind that.

The concept is simple. On your next trip to your local theme park (or huge vacation) instead of buying that soda, or souvenir, donate the money to Theme Park Change. From now until April 30th, everything you donate will go towards helping Project Angel Food.

Project Angel Food’s mission is to nourish the body and spirit of men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses. Volunteers and staff cook and deliver free and nutritious meals prepared with love throughout Los Angeles County, acting out of a sense of urgency because hunger and illness do not wait.

This project is powered by us. Theme Park Fans. It’s a great cause, and throughout we’ll be working with the gang to spread the word. If that’s not enough incentive for you, T.V. and movie star Neil Patrick Harris has some more news:

If you donate you could also win tons of great Theme Park Prizes including Disney Tickets, magazine subscriptions, other theme park tickets and much much more. See all the prizes here.
