Working out at the gym is kind of a double edged sword. It’s not something that a lot of theme park nerds, and theme park writers I know do very much. On one side, you’re too tired to go to the gym, after a long day’s work. On the other side the more you go, the better you feel, but it’s a long road to get there. You first have to muster up the energy to waste your energy. Bleh…it makes no sense. The one thing that you can take from this is that the majority of theme park nerds and writers are fat. Some wear a beanie and others have a plate. I guess we all need hobbies.

Busch Gardens

Yesterday we reported on Mach Tower possibly being delayed because of a huge failure in the equipment that resulted in a huge set back. Today, Busch Gardens confirmed it…kind of:

This is an update to our May 23 media advisory regarding postponing Mäch Tower’s opening. We are working diligently to open the ride as soon as possible, but will not do so until the manufacturer’s testing is complete and all technical issues are resolved.
During the initial manufacturer’s testing, technical challenges were discovered which will take additional time to resolve and will delay the opening. Until testing is complete, we will not announce an opening date.
Mäch Tower will incorporate several exciting features like vibrating seats, a spiraling carriage and onboard audio. These features, coupled with the ride’s 240-foot lift, will make Mäch Tower a first-of-a-kind drop tower. Our guests are encouraged to check our website, Facebook and Twitter pages for the latest information.
