Kasi, Mtani, and the other Cheetahs that reside in the Cheetah Run habitat next to Cheetah Hunt were given three over-sized pumpkins to explore for Halloween. Typically, Cheetahs are strict carnivores (only eat meat), but the new smells and textures these pumpkins brought to their habitat brought on a lot of curiosity.
The zookeepers at Busch Gardens introduced the pumpkins for some “halloween-enrichment” to Kasi, Mtani, and some of the adolescent females that reside in Cheetah Run. Enrichment for the animals comes in many different forms, but it is usually something challenging and different.
