On Saturday, November 19th from 12p until 6p, Universal Orlando will be hosting their annual “Greenfest” celebration at Citywalk. The event is free for all to attend, however regular parking rates still apply.
Greenfest is Universal’s annual celebration of the companies commitment to being “green” and it promotes eco-friendly living.
Guests can explore enviromental friendly products in the marketplace from top-named brands including Starbucks, Coca-Cola, Nestle Waters, and more. They can also sample and/or purchase organic goods such as food, beer, wine, and clothes. Live entertainment, including music, trivia, and giveaways, will also take place on the stage in Citywalk.
Greenfest takes place during “Green Week” at Universal, which is a company wide-initiative that helps bring environmental awareness to the community. Universal recycles at more than 2,100 locations and runs all diesel vehicles on bio-diesel, a cleaner burning fuel.
The “Green is Universal” campaign was launched in 2007. Their on-going green initiative is dedicated to help bring positive changes to the environment by implementing ways to make their own operations more sustainable.
