Holidays return to Universal Orlando Resort December 1st with Mannheim Steamroller, The Grinch and More!

Holiday memories are some of the best memories families can create. This holiday season, Universal Orlando gives you more ways to create your special holiday memories with your family and loved ones than ever before, as the holiday celebration goes resort wide! This year you can not only get in the holiday spirit with Christmas Concerts, The Macy’s Parade, and Grinchmas, but also by visiting any of the three onsite hotels. Get more fun, more spirit and more memories than ever before at Universal Orlando.

The fun starts at Islands of Adventure as guests celebrate Grinchmas with the folks down in Whoville. The Grinch is on hand to cause mischief and take pictures with all the who’s, and all of the girls and boys too.  Take a seat and watch the story unfold as “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” comes to life in a live stage show with music by Christmas super group, Mannheim Steamroller.

Over at Universal Studios, the magic of The Macy’s Day Parade will bring the world famous New York City parade to life daily through the streets of Universal Studios. It will feature jugglers, stilt walkers, floats and balloons! Dec. 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 and 23 guests can see a live performance of Mannheim Steamroller at Universal’s Music Plaza. The concert is free with paid admission.

The celebration continues at the three on-site hotels at Universal Orlando – Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Royal Pacific Resort – all of which will glisten with holiday decorations. Hotel guests will be immersed in the spirit of the season with holiday buffets and dining events, tree-lighting ceremonies, special musical performances, and holiday pool-side “dive-in” movie presentations.
Loews Portofino Bay Hotel features an all-new, harborside celebration of the first Thanksgiving feast with Pilgrims and Indians on Thanksgiving night, then kicks off the holiday season on Friday, November 23 with ‘Holiday Harbor Nights,’ a wine, food, jazz and tree lighting celebration on the Harbor Piazza.  On select nights in December at Portofino, guests can enjoy Holiday in the Harbor, with carolers, acrobatic elves, scavenger hunts and storytelling. Hard Rock Hotel features special Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve buffets and welcomes Santa to The Kitchen restaurant on Fridays in December.  Loews Royal Pacific Resort offers holiday buffets for Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, plus a special New Year’s Eve luau to ring in the New Year.
Ring in the New Year at Citywalk with REO Speedwagon as they perform live, and enjoy the party even more with fun with access to seven CityWalk clubs, an all you can eat gourmet buffet, and a midnight champagne toast. Tickets are on sale now!
