Opening of world’s largest waterslide-Verruckt at Schlitterbahn Kansas City delayed

It’s been measured, and it’s been declared the king of all waterslides at an astonishing 168 feet tall. It’s been tested and it will send riders down at an astonishing 65 mph. Verruckt at Schlitterbahn seemed like it was ready to go next weekend to kick off Memorial Day in style. However, it’s been delayed. Verruckt is not ready…or should we say that we’ve been spared the wrath of this awe inspiring (and pants wetting) waterslide for another day.

The record breaking slide, Verruckt has had it’s grand opening delayed from May 23rd to a tentative date of June 5th. Technicians at the park are having to recalibrate and retest the slide. There’s been no other reasons given as to why the slide isn’t ready for the opening on schedule, but with a slide of this magnitude, everything has to go off just right.
