Water Country USA closing for 2014 season this weekend and Busch Gardens Williamsburg goes to weekend-only operation

With the end of August on the horizon, temperatures are going to start dropping soon. With temperatures beginning to drop, it will be too cold to visit a water park very shortly. Water parks all over the nation will begin to close up shop for the season very soon, Water Country USA included.

This weekend will be the last weekend to experience Water Country USA in 2014 before the park closes for the season. But don’t worry! If you’re not able to make it this weekend, Water Country USA will reopen in Spring of 2015 for some more fun in the sun! Be sure to splash into Water Country USA on or before September 1st.

Labor Day weekend will be the last chance to experience Colossal Curl, Water Country USA’s brand new family-thrill side, plus a vast array other other attractions, including: 42 water slides, pools, lazy rivers, and kid-friendly play areas.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg, located pretty much next door to Water Country, will also be open for Labor Day Weekend. However, after Labor Day Weekend, Busch Gardens will transition into weekend-only operation beginning on September 6th. Coming shortly after is Howl-o-Scream, beginning on September 12th.

With Labor Day weekend upon us, what’s your plans for the weekend?
