Universal Orlando kicks off 25th anniversary with huge summer concert series

Universal Orlando turns 25 years old this year, and it’s kicking off their birthday bash with a huge summer concert series. The summer concerts return this year after a break in 2014, and they’re bigger than ever. The concerts are always included with theme park admission,  and it’s always a huge party.

The fun happens on select nightd, beginning May 23rd, and will run through June.  The Summer Concert series will also, hopefully,  be the kickoff to a much bigger celebration.

Here’s the Summer Concert Series line up:

SATURDAY, MAY 23: PRINCE ROYCE
SUNDAY, MAY 24: SHAWN MENDES
SATURDAY, MAY 30: PITBULL
SATURDAY, JUNE 6: KELLIE PICKLER
SATURDAY, JUNE 13: HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS
SATURDAY, JUNE 20:GOO GOO DOLLS

All concerts happen at the Music Plaza Stage, right under Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.

Concerts are included with theme park admission,  and are standing room only. The concerts tend to get a little crowded, so it’s always best to get to the park early to secure your spot.

What else is Universal planning for their 25th? The rumors are endless, but it could include the return of the first major Universal attraction, King Kong. The attraction is currently being built at Islands of Adventure.
Other rumors include a huge museum,  as well as the 25th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights, this September and October.
