The two parks will announce a partnership on May 5th, in Virginia,  that will outline a huge marketing campaign for the two parks. With the Virginia Tourism Corporation, Richmond Region Tourism and the Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Tourism Alliance, the parks will outline the plan for marketing the 75-mile corridor from Richmond to Greater Williamsburg as Virginia’s Gateway to Family Thrills.

The alliance is expected to produce a ticket that will allow guests to the area experience both parks, as well as highlight everything the two parks have to offer.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is an award winning destination, being constantly awarded distinctions in park beauty, food and attraction excellence. The park is celebrating 40 years in 2015, and has just opened the new Tempesto coaster, as well as Roll Out the Barrels,  an all new show.
Kings Dominion is a Cedar Fair owned and operated park, full of thrilling coasters, and family attractions.

The two parks have their own huge fan bases, which includes coaster enthusiasts,  but the park is trying to draw from the other vacation destinations in the region.
