Holidays at Disney Springs to add new traditions while bringing back Christmas classics

The transformation of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs is in full swing. The all new transformation has seen the huge downtown area go from several smaller shops and restaurants to a massive new retail and dining location, with a story. That story will continue into the holidays, as Disney Springs will officially celebrate their first real Christmas. The new Christmas celebration will bring tons of great classic traditions to the area, as well as new decorations and pieces to the little town of Disney Springs.

The all new celebration will bring back family favorites, like Toy Solider stilt walkers, Snowflake performers, a Kwanza Celebration, Hanukkah medleys, more performances and holiday food. Santa will also return, but this year in a great new location, right across the street from Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop. Like last year, guests will be able to pick up a pager and go browsing through the shops while they wait for Santa.

Pop-Up greeting card backdrops will make their way to the area as well, giving guests a great new photo opportunity to send home. There will also be three huge new Christmas trees that will celebrate different aspects of the holidays. The new trees will be unique to Disney Springs, and will be just part of the new additions at the shopping and dining district.
