One of the biggest features of the soon to be completed Universal Evolution plan was the addition of a brand new, 8 story tall, 5,000 space parking structure to be located in the former E.T. lot. Paying homage to its former location, the E.T. Parking Structure has finally opened today for the first time to park guests.
The parking structure is a major part of an on-going expansion of Universal Studios Hollywood leading to the arrival of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, opening on April 7. Guests visiting the park today were greeted by a small “Grand Opening” sign as well as an arch of balloons surrounding the main entrance. The new parking structure is located nearest to the 101 Freeway in hopes of scooping up as many guests as possible hoping to catch a glimpse of the boy wizard. Inside you’ll find lots of images of the famous extra-terrestrial as well as use of the film’s iconic bike-silhouette logo.
