When you hear the name Margaritavill, you probably automatically think of a beach getaway. The new Margaritaville Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi is bringing just that, with a bit of family fun later this year. The new resort will feature a relaxing get away from the normal hustle and bustle of Biloxi’s Casinos, and will instead slow things down a bit. Fortunately, they’ll be picked right back up as Extreme Engineering is unveiling one of their first indoor installations of the Cloud Coaster!
Imagine if a roller coaster and a zip line had a baby. That’s the idea behind Cloud Coaster from Extreme Engineering. The company is installing it’s first Cloud Coaster in the all new Biloxi Resort, and it’s going to be a blast!
The Cloud Coaster will be featured in the resort’s indoor/outdoor entertainment center along with a lazy river, pool, water slides and hundreds of arcade games.
Jeff Wilson, CEO of Extreme Engineering states, “We are honored to bring the world’s only tandem ride, cart-less roller coaster to the Margaritaville Resort Biloxi. Our latest innovation provides an exciting, totally unique ride the entire family can enjoy, and will complement the resorts’ stellar entertainment offerings.”
We had the chance to try out Cloud Coaster at IAAPA, and while it was fun, it had some comfort issues. That’s been fixed, and instead of just a strap by your butt, you have an actual seat. It provides all the fun of a coaster, and all of the out of control swinging of a zip line. Plus, the most important thing is that it can be installed pretty much anywhere. Guests are likely to see Cloud Coasters installed in many places where space is tight.
In addition to the Cloud Coaster, the Margaritaville Resort will boast 373 guest rooms and 83 suites, most with balconies over looking the water. The resort will also feature tons of family activities.
Here’s the full line up:
— A four-story volcano rock-climbing wall that up to five people can climb through the ceiling into the Margaritaville Restaurant.
— Sky Trail Ropes Course.
— Sky Tykes Ropes Course for kids age 2-7.
— Cloud Coaster, the first indoor zip-line roller coaster where riders will wear a zip-line harness and soar up and around like a coaster.
— Two golf simulators so golfers can practice, play and compete on 87 world-class golf courses.
— Six lanes of Boutique Bowling.
— Hundreds of state-of-the-art arcade games.
— Sweet Shack Ice Cream Shop with Dippin’ Dots and fresh fruit purees with candy toppings.
The Resort is expected to open around June 30th, but could open before then.
