Water is life, and life is joy. What a great saying! It’s the heart of Universal Orlando’s third theme park, Volcano Bay Water Theme Park. To say that we are excited for this new adventure is an understatement. Today we get a slew of new details about the park, including a new look at one of the signature rides and the technology that guests will wear. Plus, we are getting closer as tickets will go on sale November 15th.

Volcano Bay tickets will go on sale November 15th, which means we will have a better idea of the opening date in early 2017. Even better we have a look at several of the new slides.

Krakatau Water Coaster will take guests through the heart of a volcano, on a first of its kind water slide in Florida. The slide uses the same type of motors to propel riders up hills and through the volcano as Revenge of the Mummy. Even more, it’s a ride you can enjoy with up to three other people as the slide rafts seats four.

Also new to the park is Tapu Tapu, an all new wearable wrist band that is included with admission. Think MagicBands, only better. The new technology not only lets you schedule a Time for your ride, but also notifies you when it’s time to ride. It will also be linked to purchases and many other surprises in the park.

One of those surprises will be interactive features on the rides and in the park. While Disney customizes things with your name, Tapu Tapu will bring the park to life with actual physical features like water cannons, and illuminate hidden images in the Volcanos hidden caves.
Overall there are going to be tons of amazing new ways to explore at Universal’s new water park. Tickets will go on sale November 15th and more details will be revealed in the coming months.
