Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout to become Marvel Comic!

Say what you want about the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, but all signs point to it being a crowd pleaser for Disneyland. The comic book heroes will be at the center of the attraction, and will debut May 27th, along with Disneyland’s massive “Super Hero Summer”. The new ride has replaced the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and is already starting to peak out on the ride building.

To commemorate the new attraction, Marvel has announced that they will be releasing a special One Shot comic based around the new attraction. The comic will debut in May, and most likely be available in park. The comic will be 40 pages, rated T for teen, and retail for about $4.99. The cover is Ron Lim, but there will apparently be two additional variant covers as well.

The comic will flesh out the story of the ride, where the Collector opens his many-worlds famous collection of freaks, oddities and trinkets to the public for the first time ever. He’s made the Guardians of the Galaxy the star attractions, and you just know they won’t take that lying down.

The new comic is expected to roll out in May. More details are sure to come as Disney gets ready to launch the new attraction.
