SeaWorld San Antonio opening for massive year on February 25th

SeaWorld San Antonio is about unleash one big year when it opens for the season in less than a week. First, there’s some huge visitors and new show options. Then, it all rushes forward with the opening of their new coaster, WaveBreaker-The Wave Coaster.

Opening weekend will be absolutely huge, as SeaWorld San Antonio will roll out all educational shows for the weekend. This is a first for the park, which has only had the educational shows during Wild Days. This means that the normal showings of One Ocean, Azul and Sea Lion High will not be shown. The shows will be completely educational, and will showcase the natural behaviors of the animals, and will focus on teaching, rather than entertaining.

No worries, the regular shows will be back beginning in March, but the educational shows will be a great chance to learn more about the amazing animals at the park. Killer Whales:Up Close will also be similar (but not the exact same) as what SeaWorld San Diego will be doing later this summer with Orca Encounter.

Also on February 25th, SeaWorld San Antonio will be bringing a weekend with legendary Guy Harvey. Guy will be available throughout the afternoon to greet guests and hand-sign his popular signature clothing line and art with proceeds supporting the research and education work of The Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation. Guy Harvey is engaged in a partnership with SeaWorld to help raise awareness of ocean health and the plight of sharks in the wild. Also, he will be on hand to unveil an all new mural created for SeaWorld San Antonio. The mural will feature three Great White Sharks and will be featured at the Great White Coaster entrance.
Beginning in March, the parks will be hosting Wild Days with Jungle Jack Hanna and more. Also in early summer, the park will launch WaveBreaker: The Rescue Coastet. The new coaster will take guests on a launched ride over the water on specially designed jet ski shaped coaster cars.
