Wishes returning for Mickey’s Halloween and Christmas Parties at Walt Disney World!

Wishes will light up the sky for the last time on May 11th. The show will be saying goodbye after a very long run at The Magic Kingdom. However, the show will not be gone, as the holiday versions will return during this year’s holiday parties. We also have the dates for this year’s parties, though tickets are not on sale yet.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

This year’s Mickey’s Not So Scary will return in late August. Yes…you read that right, August. The first date is August 25th, and it runs all the way through November 1st.

Here’s the complete dates:

  • August 25 and 29, 2017
  • September 1, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26 and 29, 2017
  • October 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29 and 31, 2017
  • November 1, 2017

That’s a lot of dates! It seems that this event is more popular than ever, and the August start up really makes sense. It’s going to be interesting to see how many of the early dates sell out, as they are still right smack dab in the middle of the summer.

While we don’t have all the details from the party this year, a lot of favorites will return. The biggest one being Hallowishes. The spooky version of the nighttime fireworks spectacular is back for at least one more year.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Picking up just a few days after the end of the Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry will have guests celebrating the season with fun starting on November 9th.

Here are the complete dates:

  • November 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 26 and 28
  • December 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 22

Holiday Wishes isn’t listed on the website…yet, but if the park is doing HalloWishes, you can call it a safe bet that the Christmas edition will be there as well.

It would seem likely that we’ll get a new version of the fireworks show next year, while the team works out the kinks with the new show. The new Happily Ever After will debut on May 12th at Magic Kingdom, and will feature a new kind of digital mapping on Cinderella’s Castle.
