New details and additions coming to Epcot including new nighttime show, new Beauty and the Beast show and more!

Destination D kicked off on Saturday morning with a huge string of announcements from Bob Chapek. The new announcements ranged from Star Wars, to new parades, and so much more. Some of the biggest announcements, however were reveals from Epcot. The park is going through a major renovation, and will have several new additions, and upgrades over the next few years.

Some of the biggest includes the new Ratatouille attraction, which got new concept art (above) and a new name. Guests will board in France on “Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure”. The new ride will take guests through the movie on a unique ride experience.

Also coming to France is an all new Beauty and the Beast Sing-a-long. The new experience will be IN ADDITION to Impressions de France. That show is not going anywhere, apparently. The new show will be created Don Hahn, producer of the animated and live-action “Beauty and the Beast” films.

A new film is still coming to the Chinese pavilion, and will still use Circle Vision.

A new film is also coming to O’Canada, and will also use CircleVision. No more details are known, but it’s pretty safe to say that Martin Short will not be in the new version…or will he?

On the nighttime show front, the park will debut a brand new show that will celebrate music and celebrate how Disney music inspires people around the world, and will feature massive floating set pieces, custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics and lasers. That show will debut in 2020. However, in Fall of 2019, a short term show called EPCOT FOREVER will celebrate Epcot Center. It will include Kites, and classic songs like Tomorrow’s Child and other classic Epcot Tunes. That sounds like an amazing show for old time Epcot fans, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t get extended a bit before the new show premieres.

This is just the tip of the iceberg for huge new announcements, as there are a slew coming today.
