Texas Stingray coming to SeaWorld San Antonio in 2020

It will be the tallest, fastest, wooden coaster in all of Texas. SeaWorld San Antonio announced the big new Texas Stingray on Thursday. The coaster will have a max height of 100 feet, it will reach speeds of 55 mph, and will will feature 3,379 feet of track.

The new coaster also has a different name than what we first thought. Texas Stingray first started life out as “Abyss”, which was teased with the “dive deeper” teaser in July. While that would have been a cool theme, Texas Stingray seems to fit a bit better.

The all new coaster will debut in Spring of 2020, and will be the park’s fifth coaster. We also don’t think it will be the park’s last.
